@bulkfull I agree …
@bulkfull I agree we should buy American. But where can you find American made canteen bottles and other smaller inexpensive camping products? There’s none. MOST Chinese products are of good quality, SOME are crap. Let’s be honest. My iPhone, iPod, Spyderco knives, diginal camera, and Starbuck coffee are all made in China. And why buy European? Do you want to waste your money on expensive European products to support the European labor unions? Do you want to raise inflation in the US?

This is more my speed, going into the woods with the “right” (meaning the correct brand name gear for the upscale), reminds me of the alligator shirt preppie fad years ago that I thought was silly. This approach makes more sense to me.

Nice scavenging Dave. I look forward to viewing more of your videos. As for Tizzacious below me, I have two broken Ka Bar’s I can show you. I was a firm believer in them. Embarassingly enough, both broke during my demonstrations. I passed the first one off as a fluke but the 2nd changed my mind.

Did you ever think about using ka bars? I found a full length 7inch blade ka bar for $46. I love it and it’s an awesome tool. I’m serious about this question to you so please respond

@solimiansky if u think this is pretty cool check “bushcraft on fire” for an alternative bush craft on a budget video, he has a slightly different take, but when it comes to basics (shelter, fire, water) he seem pretty sound.

Hey dave, I kept hearing you say what I think was “odd lots”. You were talking about big lots right? I’m only asking because you do have a store or two where you are that I’ve never heard of. (Menard’s and Ollie’s) We have the rest of them, beit they are 30 miles away. Let me know, I’d like to find some flat bungee straps. I’ve been looking for months now. I have been spending 90% of my time in the woods after I moved back to my hometown. So just get back to me, I’ll check it one of these days
